The future of the lesser kestrel stems also from the involvement of expert landowners, knowing the importance of protecting the species and the delicate equilibria between agricultural environment and bird survival.
This is why #LIFEFALKON is working to create a community of interest, a network of stakeholders involved in lesser kestrel conservation, such as farmers, public authorities, planners and architects.
Indeed, regular meetings are organized with them, to raise awareness about lesser kestrel conservation and biodiversity, promote the adoption of species-friendly practices, and inform stakeholders about current wildlife regulations and technical solutions to resolve human-wildlife conflicts.
Other citizens were involved as well. Indeed, the LIFE FALKON team has discussed and presented the project on occasion of public events in the focus areas.
Such as on May, 16th at the Mirandola Fair, when Andrea Pirovano (Zoological Naturalist) introduced to the audience the ongoing activities promoted by LIFE FALKON in the City of Mirandola.
